Good morning fans and athletes alike of Whirlwind Wrestling! We hope you enjoyed your holiday season and that you didn't eat too much over Thanksgiving; after all, if you had a food explosion, how would you be able to watch our next pay-per-view extravaganza, Seasons Past?! Which, here's a friendly reminder that we're within the final two weeks of the final show of the twenty-nineteen year! Thanks for supporting us during this comeback, by the way, this company wouldn't be where it is without fan support of each and every one of you right there reading this live or catching the report on any of the myriad of news sites around the web. But what IS this show, anyway? For a healthy reminder, let's take an in-depth look at everything in store for you for this special time of the year show!
In our opening match, we find our reigning, and defending International Whirlwind Champion B. Epic - fresh off his successful title defense against former Champion Joe Jones, in which he just took the record for longest reigning Champion at [presently] ninety-eight days - where he will be looking to exorcise his daemons once and for all, of James Kelloggs, and Epic Angle partner Stephen Callaway! And that match not only will be a triple threat, but will also be contested under PRIDE Fighting Rules, so we will truly see once, and for all, who really is the athlete to usher this company in to twenty-twenty! Who's YOUR pick?!
Moving along to our second match we have a formal number one contender's match to determine the next challenger to the IWC, whether it's Kelloggs or Callaway, or B. Epic retaining himself; MAX Danger and Pendragon will step up and fight for that opportunity meaning a career trajectory will be changing for them, as well as the two that leave Seasons Past empty-handed; opportunities to vie for the IWC do not come along often, who knows when you will get another shot. Callaway? Pendragon? What if B. Epic were to lose, being the [then-former] champion he wouldn't even get his rematch for at least two months. That's gotta be an outcome mentally resting on the champion's mind like an anchor keeps a yacht at rest...
Speaking of Pendragon, his student Sean Tuoni made his first steps inside our ring at All Hallows Eve. Now, at our debut in Tijuana, Mexiuco, Sean Tuoni will be welcomed back to speak on what exactly he felt in that moment, including hiss "shot heard round the world" in relation to habitual shit starter, Monte the Python. What's going through his mind? Why did he do it? Was he justified in what he did? Tune in to find out!
According to recent reports, after a voice spoke up during the special title match between B. Epic and Joe Jones, we are pin pointing that voice as recent signing Eric Havoc. Havoc, a man that comes carrying his own agenda, has a bit of a reputation for speaking without a filter. While some promotions would attempt to hold that trait in check, we here at Whirlwind Wrestling would like to embrace that, and have offered Mr. Havoc an open, live mic, to say whatever it is he has to say. There's no telling what will happen next.
Of course what would a rumour round up be if we didn't talk about the king of speculation and hype himself - the "B-List Sensation" Jacob Hotstuff?! In twenty-eighteen, Jacob was the centrepiece of the entire company with everybody wanting to fight the man so bold to put Hollywood movies above pro wrestling - an act that could almost be considered a crime in honourbound lucha libre tradition. Yet here in twenty-nineteen, Jacob has wrestled one match (to his credit, it was a pinfall win), but has remained overall quiet and away from the IWC that he has coveted from day one (ever since our first event Biorhythm, where he became a former interim International Whirlwind Champion prior to being dropped on his head by another [now former] Whirlwind athlete). Perhaps Jacob will be looking to "make some noise", and what better way to do that than to shake up the end of the year and raise that volume level to the MAX...with a loud smash mouth and in your face kick in the door, to twenty-twenty?! All we know is that Jacob will be "physically involved" in this upcoming show; he won't be hiding backstage, or on a mic, or behind anyone...so what do YOU expect from the self-proclaimed "Official Michael Bay of Pro Wrestling", come Seasons Past?
While we showed a month or so ago the expected debut of Kyle Ryan as part of our security team, following our show we also have the announcement of another new signing to come; "The Aristocrat" Antonio Scarlotti! The Consortium has been incredibly tight lipped about what this name has in store, sharing with only his closest advisors "The Aristocrat will have a special message for a particular former Whirlwind Wrestling athlete." Let the rumourmill swirl away on that one, folks!
And of course in our main event, we have the reigning Gulf Coast Champion Veronica Taylor, alongside her best friend Bianca Davis, facing off with the man beast, The Mastodon, and it is FOR the Gulf Coast Championship! At All hallows Eve, Veronica used the rules to her advantage and took an intentional count out loss just to retain in a match she was absolutely physically dominated in, but at Seasons Past she can't do that because the only way to win is to get your opponent counted out! Sure, that means Veronica's BFF Bianca could get involved - but we've seen The Mastodon chew through MULTIPLE detractors in The Saturn Boys before...now, Veronica will have to get the unbeaten manbeast counted out for ten seconds, if she has any hope of retaining her title! Will we finally see The ferocious, impressive Mastodon win his first career championship since starting this journey in September twenty-nineteen?! How exactly could Veronica Taylor beat the man she's never beaten, hell how could she weasel her way out of a match where there's no rules to weasel away from?!
Folks, you're gonna have to tune in to Seasons Past for the answers to these questions, and more! Order now, for a special price of $19.95 on the FiteTV app, or $24.95 from your local cable or satellite provider. Until next time,
xoxo
