March, 1986
A blue 1978 Camaro Z28 pulls up in the snow packed parking lot of the Kikino Birch Resort and Campsite on the shore of one very frozen Lake Christina. The drivers side door opens. A fresh set of Austin Hall Cowboy boots, dark brown number with a pattern embossed into them that several years from now would be considered to be “tribal”, hits the snow with the acid washed jeans covering up the patterns on the boots. With the silver tips on the heels, these boots move forward, past the car door when it is slammed shut. Standing next to this beast of a car, with its three quarter race cam, double hump heads, an Edelbrock mid rise single plane intake with a 850 Holley double pumper on the 350 small block under the hood, rocking a black fanny pack, a jean jacket with his dyed blonde mullet flowing down his shoulders is a man on a mission.
He runs his fingerless leather gloves along the side of his head, making sure his hair is flawless and he teases out his mullet. Wearing some Ray Bans and sporting a beard that is a different color than his hair is none other than Davey Hart Bushelbubby!
Davey smiles as he takes a good look around the resort, where Winter Days is going on and out on the lake is where the fun will really begin later tonight. Inside a huge tent is a wrestling ring. Inside that wrestling ring, a battle royal will be happening. In that battle royal is a huge prize up for grabs, a prize that the one and only Davey Hart Bushelbubby has had his eye on ever since it was announced. A prize that has brought every wrestling star in the region out.
A shot at the big time!
A shot to get sunburnt under the bright lights!
The bright lights of New York City!
A shot at glory!
Fame!
Fortune!
What Davey Hart Bushelbubby was eyeing is his big break. The break of a lifetime. A chance to go to New York and sign on the dotted line and work for the WWF. All he had to do was win this battle royal at the festival here tonight. All he had to do was throw 19 other chumps over the top rope and out of the ring! And when Davey Hart Bushelbubby is the last man standing, he would punch his ticket to…..
WrestleMania 2!
Davey Hart removes the tooth pick from his lip. “Hell yeah brother! This is mine!”
As Davey Hart Bushelbubby walks to the rear of his bitchin’ Camaro, a long black limo pulls up next to him. This causes Davey to pause, he’s never seen a limo before, only seen them on TV. What high roller arrived in style he wonders? As he lifts his beat up gym bag out of the trunk of his ride, the driver quickly makes his way down the side of the car and opens up the door. A few seconds later a giant of a man steps out of the limo, with a case of wine under his arm. Davey Hart Bushelbubby looks up, looks up to the sky with his jaw slowly dropping in awe.
“Awe shit!” Davey says in disbelief, for standing in front of him, looking down on him is none other than Andre the GIant!
The Road to Wrestlemania just placed a huge speed bump in front of Davey Hart Bushelbubby…..
